School programs, organizations, and classes across the country have eliminated paper and use x2VOL to track, reflect, and report on student service and volunteer hours all online.
Whether a school requires their students to serve as a graduation requirement or encourages and recognizes service, students can have the benefit of one central and online place to track service hours.
With x2VOL, students enrolled in a PAL (Peer Assistance & Leadership) class are not only able to track the service hours they do, but they are able to reflect on their service experience. x2VOL has a unique reflection feature - administrators are able to customize the reflection prompt and for each service experience entry, students can take their experience one step further and reflect on their impact, growth, and development.
McKinney Boyd High School utilizes x2VOL to track hours for PAL students:
"x2VOL is a user-friendly platform that allows my PAL students the ability to input and track service hours and provides me the flexibility and ease to approve and send notes regarding their service. x2VOL is a one-stop shop - my students are able to see opportunities to serve and communicate with past and present service providers. We LOVE x2VOL!"
Ultimately, the goal of PAL courses is to engage students in service, personal growth, and social awareness. x2VOL aligns with these PALs initiatives by tracking service and encouraging reflection. Tracking service hours with x2VOL gives administrators the ability to see a student's progress, and students are also able to reflect on their service and see growth within themselves.
Service widens a student’s world view and allows them to see the world beyond themselves. By tracking service online with x2VOL, PAL students are easily able to see progress toward their goals and recognize their growth. They can also leverage their service experience on college and job applications in the future.
