  1. Neighborhood Beautification
Help your neighbors during the break with trash clean-up, lawn care, garden care, or any small projects that they might need a helping hand with. You can offer your services by posting in your neighborhood community page on social media or asking around in-person! This is a great way to connect and network within your neighborhood while lending a helping hand.

  1. Love animals?
Volunteer at your local pet shelter and offer your services to clean pet spaces, help with office work, or engage with the animals to boost their morale. This is also a great way to learn soft-skills and network while serving.
  2. Use your skills!
If you have a unique skill that can contribute to a cause or help others, offer to teach it or use it to benefit others. Examples include painting, knitting, tutoring in academic subject, coding, singing, graphic design, cooking, and more. All of these can be used to help others in your school or local communities.
  3. Youth Camp Volunteer
Connect with a local youth camp to help kids develop and grow over the break! Sports and academic camps are among the most common types of camps you can use your skills to help young students develop, and assist with camp organization.

  1. Senior Center Engagement
Many individuals in senior care centers don't always have the opportunity to interact with people outside of their tight-knit community - and some don't always receive frequent visits from family. Volunteering your time at assisted-living centers by hosting bingo games, teaching a new skill, reading to residents, or simply starting conversations can go a long way to make them feel seen and cared for. Reach out to the Senior Centers near you to find out what opportunities they offer for volunteers.
  2. Volunteer at your Local Hospital
Some hospitals have opportunities for students to volunteer by greeting guests, organizing files, cleaning spaces, or reading to patients. Reach out to local hospitals near you to find out how you can help!

  2. Community Clothing Drive
Organize a clothing drive in your neighborhood, school, or place of worship. COllect gently used clothing, shoes, and jackets, then donate them to a local shelter or nonprofit organization. This is also a great leadership opportunity if you coordinate drop-off times, create flyers, and spread the word on social media.
  3. Library Volunteer
Local libraries often welcome student volunteer to help organize books, assist with children's reading programs, or support community events.
